Foden's Band will join forces with the world renowned Halle Orchestra on Wednesday 1st July to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta.
Duncan's new commission
The concert at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall (pictured above) will see the two ensemble's combine to perform Andrew Duncan's new commission 'A Tale of Two Empires: Cottonopolis'.
Michael Fowles will conduct Foden's at the high profile event in Manchester with their programme also including Eric Ball's 'Resurgam' and Howard Snell's arrangement of the 'Pines of Rome'.
The Hallé conducted by Stephen Bell will feature amongst their items Arnold's 'Peterloo Overture', Walton’s 'Henry V Suite' and 'The History of the English Speaking Peoples'.
