Lower Brass Spotlight at Dyke Festival

The annual Black Dyke annual Brass Festival, which will take place on Sunday, 17th May is set to once again feature a special ‘Lower Brass Spotlight’, led by stars Gary Curtin and Ben Dixon.

Gary and Ben will be running sessions alongside the other lower brass members of Black Dyke on ensemble playing and solo performing, as well as leading a question and answer session.

The afternoon concert by the 2014 Double Champion and led by Prof Nicholas Childs will also involve participants.

The event workshops are open to all ages and all standards, and music for the massed items will be available on the day.

Registration on the day commences at 9.15am with the proceedings starting at 10.00am. The cost for the whole day is just £5.
