Elland Silver Band recently held its annual 'Oscars' red carpet presentation where a great turn out of players and supporters enjoyed some wonderful curry before the announcement of the all important results.

Awards

The ‘Most Improved Under 18’ player went to cornetist Ben Hofland- Ward, with the ‘Most Improved Over 18’ won by second trombone Janet Wiffen.

Young cornet player George Scoley took the ‘Most Promising Newcomer’ award, with the ‘Bandsperson of the Year’ trophy going to MD, Daniel Brooks and ‘Player of the Year’ being won by solo trombone Richard Knight.
