Alex Bray, the founder of the innovative Brass Factor entertainment contest recently took time out from the planning of the fifth anniversary competition to run the Disney Dopey challenge to help raise funds for Huddersfield charity, ‘Forget Me Not’ Children’s Hospice.
Disney Dopey
The annual challenge, held at Disneyland, Florida, consists of a 5k, 10k, half marathon and a full marathon, with participants across the globe taking part, with the fit as butcher’s dog entrepreneur raising £1,200 for the charity.
Alex is now preparing for the Manchester relay marathon in April, having only taking up running by his godfather who challenged him to run that event with him for his 50th birthday.
Fund raising
He also hopes his individual fundraising success paves the way for another fruitful year for his musical brainchild too, with the fifth annual event also raising funds for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Martin House.
