Report & Results: 2015 Rainford Slow Melody Contest

A record turn out showcases top class playing at Rainford

Rainford

Adjudicators David Thornton and Lesley Poole certainly had their work cut out at the recent Rainford Slow Melody Contest held at Rainford Village Hall.

Record turn out

And because of the record turnout of competitors in all of the ‘Open’ sections, it has prompted the sponsors to assure the organisers that the contest will now be able to continue as an annual event.

The adjudicators commented on the event being slick and well organised, and producing many credit worthy performances.

£350 in prizes, together with trophies and medals were all up for grabs and were presented by the Chairman of Rainford Parish Council, Cllr.Diane Wesley.
