Glyn Williams to lead John Packer workshop

Foden's star euphonium player will lead the forthcoming John Packer Brass Band Workshop in March. So book now!

Following a highly successful Brass Band Workshop with Dr Robert Childs last March, John Packer Ltd has announced that euphonium star Glyn Williams will be guest conductor and workshop leader for the next Advanced Brass Band Day to be held on Saturday 28th March, in Taunton.

Great day

The Foden’s Band star soloist and highly respected conductor of Marsden Silver Band has a wealth of playing and conducting experience that he will be sharing on what promises to be a great day of workshop playing and teaching.

Opportunity

A John Packer spokesperson told 4BR: “The event is a great opportunity to work with a fantastic music professional and also the chance to learn and play with other like-minded people.

Glyn will also be answering player’s questions and giving advice on how to arrange, compose and play music.”

Tea and coffee is available throughout the day, and there will also be the chance for attendees to try a wide range of instruments and accessories on John Packer Ltd’s fully equipped trade stand.

The Marple Band

March 13 • Cornet ( positions negotiable),baritone and kit percussionist vacancies to join our fabulous band. We are a friendly ambitious 2nd Section band, starting an exciting new musical journey with our MD Nick Birch.

March 12 • Back Row Cornet - due to a change in job, the band has a vacancy for a back row cornet. The band has a lovely atmosphere, and has regular jobs throughout the year as well as taking part in at least two contests.
