The Milnrow Band has announced the appointment of the experienced Mark Bentham as their new Musical Director.

After leading the band to victory at the Rochdale Contest at the end of October, and after well received concerts appearances at Uppermill and the Bowdon Festival, the band told 4BR that they are delighted that he has accepted the new role.

A spokesperson said: “We are obviously very pleased that Mark has agreed to join us as Musical Director on a permanent basis, and we are already enjoying working together over the Christmas period and into the new season.”
