Knottingley Silver Band has announced that Kevin Belcher has returned to the band as their new Musical Director, following the departure of Dr Owen Wedgwood last month.

Success

Kevin led the band to a great deal of success in his previous tenure, taking them from the Third to Championship Section, winning several titles in the process.

No wonder

No wonder the band is hoping that similar success will follow this time, as Steve Clayton, principal cornet and chairman told 4BR:

Crofton

Kevin leaves Crofton Band to join Knottingley after three years at the helm, but will still lead them at the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in January.
