Geneva congratulations on Fountain appointment at RPO

Geneva Instruments congratulate James Fountain on his appointment as Principal Trumpet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

James Fountain

Geneva Musical Instruments has congratulated James Fountain on taking up his new role as Principal Trumpet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Prestigious appointment

James has worked closely with Geneva promoting their market leading ‘Symphony’ Cornet, and in recent months has also chosen to play the Geneva ‘Symphony’ Bb trumpet — a choice which will be heard all over the musical world in the coming years with his prestigious appointment.

James also plays an active role within the Geneva Instruments R&D department, assisting in the development of the classical range of Geneva Trumpets.

Great talent

Geneva’s Duncan Cartledge told 4BR: “We were aware of the great talent James had from an early age and we were delighted when he chose to play the Geneva Symphony cornet.

His development has seen him hold principal cornet chairs at both the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and at one of the UK’s leading top flight bands at Virtuosi GUS.”

Everyone at Geneva congratulates James on his new role and we look forward to continuing our work with him in the development of our classical trumpet range and his continued involvement promoting Geneva Instrument productsGeneva

No surprise

He added: “The commitment, hard work and versatility he has shown in recent years and during his time at the Guildhall School of Music means it is no surprise to us that he has been offered this position with a world class orchestra such as the Royal Philharmonic.

Everyone at Geneva congratulates James on his new role and we look forward to continuing our work with him in the development of our classical trumpet range and his continued involvement promoting Geneva Instrument products.”
