With the ‘full house’ signs up at The Sage for the Brass in Concert Championships this year, no wonder two lucky 4BR readers had smiles on their faces when they were presented with their prize tickets by Yamaha on the weekend.

Tickets and spending money

Jackfield Band trombone player Simon Holland won two tickets to the Brass in Concert Saturday evening gala event featuring Grimethorpe Colliery and Cory Bands, a brace for the Brass in Concert contest on the Sunday, plus £100 in spending money all from Yamaha, after knowing that Katrina Marzella was the Black Dyke star playing on a Yamaha Neo baritone in our 4BR BiC quiz.

Enjoyed every minute

Simon took along his dad (above) to Gateshead as a 70th birthday treat — and told 4BR that they had both enjoyed every minute of the weekend’s entertainment.
