Following high profile concerto performances at Le Halle Polyvalente de Conthey in Switzerland on Friday and at Symphony Hall and Bridgewater Hall in the UK this weekend, euphonium virtuoso David Childs will round off a hectic musical weekend with a major broadcast on BBC Radio Wales this evening.

Jenkins Concert

The popular BBC Radio Wales ‘World of Music’ programme will feature a full performance of the Karl Jenkins ‘Concerto for Euphonium’, as featured on David's recent recording ‘The Symphonic Euphonium’ with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Bramwell Tovey.

The broadcast will also feature an interview between David and presenter Beverley Humphreys, interspersed between the movements of the concerto.

The show will be broadcast at 9:00pm with listeners outside Wales able to listen in online, and again on catch up via the BBC website over the coming days4BR
