There have been a number of new signings at the Pemberton Old B Band in the past few months, as the North West outfit strengthens ahead of the 2015 season.
New faces
Talented youngster Martin Kerfoot comes in on Eb Bass from Skelmersdale, whilst Don Metcalfe returns to the band on bass trombone following the retirement of Peter Zingel following many years of excellent service.
Damien Shortt fills the vacant second cornet seat, with Joanne Johnson (solo cornet) and Katie Littler (horn) returning to the band following breaks from playing.

Youth promotions
Finally, Olivia Banks and Lewis Barton, have made the impressive move up from the organisation’s youth band set up on third cornet and percussion respectively.
A spokesperson told 4BR: “We have no doubt these two talented youngsters will prove to be excellent signings for the ‘B’ Band and no doubt the Senior Band in the years to come. We are delighted and to have them as part of our organisation.”
