Thomas to lead Poulton London masterclass

Leyland MD Huw Thomas will led a free open rehearsal masterclass on 'A London Overture' with the help of Poulton-le-Fylde Band. All are welcome!

Huw Thomas, the Musical Director of Leyland Band will lead an open rehearsal with the Poulton-le-Fylde Band on Friday 14th November starting at 8.00pm, open to anyone who wishes to attend.

A London Overture

The highly experienced conductor will focus on the 2015 First Section regional test piece ‘A London Overture’ by Philip Sparke, as well as concert music by Gareth Westwood and Stephen Crooks.

Huw told 4BR: "It’s a pleasure to be delivering this masterclass with Poulton, as with their recent appointment of Dave Collins as MD I have no doubt that they will be successful in the future."

A band spokesperson added: “This is a great opportunity for the Poulton-le-Fylde Band to experience top-class tuition from a well respected conductor. It will be a fantastic opportunity to hear his opinions about the test piece.”
