120 years of music making in Menai Bridge is to be celebrated next month as over 50 members past and present join forces in a special concert to celebrate the wonderful achievement of Anglesey’s oldest brass band.

Memorable year

Spokesperson Helen Butterworth, told 4BR: "We’ve had an extremely memorable year so far.

We recorded our first CD, which is due for release in time for the celebrations as well as qualifying for the National Finals in Cheltenham."

Safe hands

She added: "The future of the band is already in safe hands with our great Junior and Intermediate ensembles joining our Senior band for what promises to be a truly memorable evening.

We will be performing a mix of old and new music and will even be performing three pieces written especially for us!"
