There are more new faces to be found around the stands at Vernon Building Society Poynton Band.

Matthew Sale joins on soprano cornet from Wingates, whilst John McLoughlin comes in on 3rd cornet having previously played for Besses O' th’ Barn and Brighouse & Rastrick. Matthew and John replace outgoing players Tim Brocklehurst and John Needham.

Also joining the band in time for their forthcoming appearance at the Wychavon contest is Phillipa Samuel on percussion from Rainford.

I'd like to thank both Tim and John for the time and commitment that they have put into Poynton Band over the years. They have been superb bandsmen and contributed a great deal to the band on and off the stageGary White
