The experienced Derek Renshaw has been announced as the new Musical Director of the Yorkshire based Strata Brass.

Derek will officially take up his new post at the end of September but in the mean time will take the band in rehearsal following their recent summer break.

Wealth of experience

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Derek brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Strata Brass, having been very successful at this level in the past.

We are looking forward to working with him over the coming months."
