Two intrepid bandsmen are putting any musical rivalries aside this weekend to help raise for the ‘Dreams Come True Charity’.
Raising funds
Brian Keachie, MD of the Barrhead Burgh, and Andy McIndoe who plays cornet with Dalmellington, are setting off today (Sat 2nd August) on a 7 day trek of the 96 mile West Highland Way to help raise funds for the charity that helps children with a life threatening illness or who are in palliative care.
The funds raised also allow children to have a dream of their choosing.
Closer to home
Brian, a seasoned campaigner who has already trekked the Great Wall of China, thought he had better try something closer to home this time!
He told 4BR: "It’s a wonderful cause, so the sore feet will be well worth it!"
