Entries are still being taken for the Beaumont Park Annual March & Hymn Tune Contest, which will take place on Sunday 7th September starting at 2.00pm.
£1,000 in prize money
The contest, which was won by last year by Elland Silver Band, is open to all bands with over £1,000 in prize money up for grabs.
Bands will play a short march where they will be judged on deportment, before going on to play play three verses of their chosen hymn tune and a contest march in the lovely Beaumont Park bandstand.
Pre-draw
The contest will be pre-drawn nearer the date giving each band an approximate playing time.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day please help us make this another successful event.
