30th anniversary returns for Manx Youth

Derek Broadbent will be making a welcome return to the Isle of Man this year to help in a very special celebration for the Manx Youth and Concert Brass Bands.

The combined forces of Manx Youth Band & Manx Concert Brass return to their usual summer slot for their annual gala concert on the Isle of Man next month, with the added attraction of the event celebrating the 30th anniversary of two important milestones in their joint history.

1984 release

The Manx Youth Band recorded their first LP release in 1984, entitled, ‘Manx Youth’ and the concert will feature some of the tracks from this recoding, whilst 2014 marks the 30th anniversary of Derek Broadbent’s first visit to work with the organisation.
