Derwent Brass has added an extra family link to the band with the arrival on percussion of the talented Elliot Davis.
Invitation
Elliot is the son of well known conductor John Davis and his wife Pam, who also happens to be Derwent’s flugel horn player.
Having played on a number of occasions with the band, he has now accepted the invitation to join the Championship Section Midland outfit from Dronfield (Genquip) Band.
away from the bandroom he has a passion for rock music, gaming and cars — so he fits in perfectly with the majority of the blokes in the band!Derwent Brass
Versatile
Band spokesperson Rob Stew told 4BR: "Elliot is a wonderfully versatile percussionist who has worked with other Championship Section bands in the past, most recently with Flowers.
Elliot is also a regular percussionist with the Yorkshire Youth Brass Band under Dr. Nicholas Childs and away from the bandroom he has a passion for rock music, gaming and cars — so he fits in perfectly with the majority of the blokes in the band!"
