As a previous Director of the British Army School of Music at Kneller Hall, Frank Renton is ideally placed to present this special programme of military music.

He includes music by the United States Marine Band, a band which changed his vision of what military music could be. We hear music from the Band of The Coldstream Guards and a rare example of military musicians playing alongside some legendary jazz players.
