The final touches are being put in place by the world’s top two ranked bands for their charity concert at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff on Sunday afternoon.
Raise money
Cory and Tredegar are set to join forces to help raise money for Velindre Cancer Care, which has provided Wales with a world leading centre in the patient care, treatment and research of the disease — helping thousands of people and families in the process.
The family concert, which starts at 2.00pm will be hosted by well known BBC presenter Beverley Humphreys, and will see the British Open champion Tredegar open proceedings, followed by National champion Cory, with a massed ensemble second half that is sure to raise the roof of the impressive Dora Stoutzker Hall.
Star soloists
Both bands will feature contributions from their star soloists, with Steve Stewart, Owen Farr, Martyn Patterson, Dewi Griffiths, Danny Winder and Matthew White set to showcase their talents, whilst conductors Ian Porthouse and Philip Harper will share the joint items and add a couple of encores in for good measure.
There are only a few tickets left, so make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to support a wonderful charity and enjoy world class brass band music making from the two top ranked bands in the world.
