Elland Silver Youth Band

Elland Silver Youth Band will be celebrating its 20th anniversary later this month with a special concert to be held in Brighouse on the 21st June.

Productive

Since its inception the band has become one of the UKs leading youth ensembles, winning many national titles as well as providing an invaluable stepping stone for the development of young playing talent in their highly productive corner of Yorkshire.

The youth section of the organisation now boasts a Training Band, Starter Band and Beginners Group and provides weekly tuition to over 80 young musicians aged from 7 to 18 years. Adult members are also welcome to join the Training Band.

Countless

Over the years the youth band has also provided tuition and instruments to countless young players, many of whom have gone onto to enjoy blossoming musical careers.

The Youth Band became National Junior Champions in 2007 and National Intermediate Champions in 2010. They have also been the Action Medical Research Entertainment Champions in 2010 and 2012 and runners up in 2009, 2011 and again in 2014.
