Bands get Torquay reminder

Bands wishing to take part in the SWBBA Championship in Torquay need to keep an eye on their diaries.

The schedule and entry forms for the South West Brass Band Association’s 68th Annual Championships to be held on Saturday 1st November at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay have now been made available by the contest organisers.

National grading

The event is open to all bands, with 2014 national grading being recognised.

In addition to the senior events there are also sections for Youth, Un-graded and Training bands. The adjudicators are David Lancaster and Barry Thompson.

Closing dates

The closing date for entries is 12th September.

Bands are also reminded of the closing dates of 12th July for the Exmouth Brass Band Festival, and 13th September for the SWBBA Cornet Workshop.
