The Foden's Band has announced that they will be once again joined by the Foden's Youth Band for a 'Brass Celebration' concert.

The event, which will be held on 7th June at Little Lever School, Bolton, starting at 7.00pm, will feature a special performance of Howard Snell's 'Images of the Millennium' in its original scoring for two full brass bands and narrator.

In addition to the major work, there will be entertaining sets from both bands, performances from school ensembles at Little Lever and a spectacular ‘Last Night of the Proms’ finale.

Unique performance

Commenting on the event, Foden's Youth Band Co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck told 4BR: "We are always striving to give the youth band unique opportunities, and the performance of ‘Images of the Millennium’ alongside Foden's is certainly that — but something that the young players are relishing."

He added: "With over 100 performers and a spectacular programme, this concert is not to be missed!"
