Colne Valley entries open

The Colne Valley Solo, Duet & Quartet Competition will take place on Sunday 1st June at Marsden Junior School.

Closing date

The closing date for entries is Saturday 18th May, and this year the event includes the addition of a 16 — 22 Slow Melody contest, as well as a technical solo section, in which competitors can choose to play anything, from a movement of a concerto to an air-varie.

Prizes

In addition numerous prizes, there will be an award for the highest placed Junior and Senior in both the technical and slow melody contest. The award includes a commission by Dave Collins, who will liase with the winners to write a special composition for them.
