4BR's busy weekend of coverage of major competitions will see us head from North America to Salford.

Salford bound

Following on from 4BR Editor, Iwan Fox's enjoyable time at the North American Brass Band Championships, the focus turns to the National Youth Championships at the University of Salford.

Four Sections

Run superbly by Brass Bands England, four sections will take place in two halls on the University Campus, and 4BR will be there to enjoy the nine hours of top quality action from the 34 competitors.

Malcolm Wood and Matt Shaw will be in Salford to bring you a flavour of the day which starts at 9.00am via twitter using the hash tag #nybbc2014
