Lofthouse Brass 2000 has just teamed up with North Yorkshire’s only contemporary New Orleans inspired brass band, for a joint concert venture later this year.

The band will link up with the New York Brass Band in June and hope to bring a taste of the best of Yorkshire to a new audience – with music by the likes of Marvin Gaye and Cee-Lo Green to Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk and even Lady Gaga, with some funky, gritty northern originals thrown in for good measure.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "There are no gimmicks, no backing tracks and, no auto tune — just music that gets people dancing and a band that make the audience feel part of the show!"
