Soundhouse Brass has announced the appointment of Lee Clayson as their new Musical Director.
Great news
Unfortunately, the band was unable to enter the recent West of England regional contest due to the loss of key players just after Christmas, so the appointment comes as great news for the band.
A native of Plymouth, Lee spent 25 years as a cornet player in the army, the last five training young players at Kneller Hall where he helped in the formation of The British Army Brass Band. He retired from the army to set up his own company in 2012.
In addition, Lee has played with Woodfalls Band and is currently with Desford Colliery Band.
Lee will bring his wealth of experience to Soundhouse, which will benefit both the Senior and Training BandsBand President, Garth Wright

Band President, Garth Wright told 4BR: "Lee will bring his wealth of experience to Soundhouse, which will benefit both the Senior and Training Bands.
We are very much looking forward to his input and hopefully he will be instrumental in turning things around for us."
