Blidworth celebrates Cheltenham return

The Blidworth Welfare Band has been celebrating its return to Cheltenham.

The Blidworth Welfare Band is celebrating its second successive qualification to the National Finals in Cheltenham in September.

Promoted

The band came third at the recent Midlands First Section Area contest under MD Martin Heartfield, and as a result, will be promoted to the Championship Section in 2015.

Culmination

A spokesperson told 4BR: "This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and effort. Over the past couple of years the band has gone from strength to strength and with several great results this sees the band gain promotion.
