Trinity Girls Band will compete at the North Area after Jonathan Davies takes the helm.

Trinity Girls Band will be competing at the forthcoming North West Regional Championships in Blackpool after conductor Jonathan Davies offered to step into direct the band following the recent departure of MD, Stuart Barton.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone following the recent departure of Stuart Barton.

We have had many offers from local conductors to support our wish to compete at the North West Area contest and we are absolutely delighted that Jonathan Davies has so kindly agreed to take us."

The band stated that they will look to audition and secure a permanent conductor after their Blackpool appearance.
