Geneva becomes associate sponsor in Darlington

The North of England Regional Championship has gained a new associate sponsor.

Geneva

The North of England Brass Band Championships has announced that Geneva Instruments will be the Associate Sponsor of the regional contest on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of March, in Darlington.

Thrilled

Regional Secretary Tony Griffiths told 4BR that the regional committee were thrilled by the announcement.

"We are delighted Geneva has come on board, providing some much needed sustainability to the regional event.

It is a welcome boost for our contest and we look forward to developing a strong professional relationship with them."

Backing

He added: "Banding in the North of England remains strong. Our future development and sustainability is under scrutiny, and backing from companies such as Geneva is a welcome boost.

Support from such a major international company enables us to look forward, with some confidence, both in the North of England and within the family of the National Brass Band Championships."

Delighted

Tim Oldroyd of Geneva added: "I’m delighted that we are able to work with Tony and the team. The North of England Brass Band Championships is my local contest and I have enjoyed some special moments there.

Being associated will without doubt create interest in our instruments and I look forward to welcoming friends to our trade stand."
