Dream time for Cory percussionists

Cory link up with Dream Cymbals for innovative new partnership.

Cory Dream Boys

The Cory percussion section will certainly be playing dream instruments in future after the band opened up an innovative partnership with leading manufacturers Dream Cymbals.

High profile

The world’s number 1 ranked band will become the latest high profile endorsee of the highly respected makers with the team now playing on their range of kit, suspended and clash cymbals.

At an afternoon taster session held at Newport Dream stockist Ev-entz, Cory percussion players Alun Horgan and James Andrews put the cymbals through their paces and chose a great selection of instruments to cover all occasions — including Bliss and vintage bliss crashes, Energy ride and high hats as well as two sets of Energy orchestral clash.

James said: "These are superb cymbals that will add that extra touch of class to our percussion work. We had a great day at Ev-entz and we can’t wait to try out our new additions with the band!"

Delighted

David Ledsam, MD of SVM percussion, UK Dream distributors came down with a lot of instruments to meet the band and its Musical Director Philip Harper, who told 4BR: “We're delighted to become endorsees of the Dream brand of cymbals and gongs, which are already making the Cory Band sound even better!

Our team spent the afternoon at Dream Cymbals and Gongs supplier Ev-entz in Newport selecting instruments, and we will now be performing exclusively on these at all future concerts."

Proud

He added: "We're proud that this multi-national and growing company has chosen the Cory Band as an endorsee and we will help promote the brand into the UK market. We look forward to a long and successful partnership."

David meanwhile also looked forward to a great partnership: "It was an honour and privilege to be associated with the Cory Band, and we look forward greatly to working with them."
