Ben and Gary to lead tasty Lower Brass Spotlight

Two leading lower brass stars from Black Dyke are to lead the way at Leeds Town Hall on March 23rd.

As part of the 2014 Black Dyke Festival, solo euphonium Gary Curtin and tuba star Ben Dixon will be leading a Lower Brass Spotlight on Sunday, March 23rd at Leeds Town Hall.

Sessions

Gary and Ben will be running sessions alongside the other lower brass members of Black Dyke, on areas of playing including ensemble and solo performing. There will also be question and answer sessions involving the players.

The afternoon concert in the main hall is always a highlight of the festival, and this year the delegates will be invited to take part accompanied by Black Dyke under the baton of Dr. Nicholas Childs.

Open to all

The Festival workshops are open to all ages and all standards and music for the massed items with Black Dyke will be available on the day.

Registration on the day commences at 9.15am with the proceedings starting at 10.00am.
