Report & Results: 2014 scaba Solo, Quartet & Ensemble

Lots of performers make for a great day of music making and busy organisation in Burgess Hill.

scaba

The scaba’s Solo, Quartet & Ensemble contest – the first event of its 2014 competition season was held at St Paul’s Catholic College in Burgess Hill on the weekend.

Excellent turn out

With such an excellent turn out in competitive numbers there were a few organisational headaches to sort out, but with the understanding of the keen performers everything ran smoothly.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "scaba will be looking at ways to obviate this problem in future, possibly running the event over two days, as well as hopefully introducing more new classes in 2015."

Adjudicators Nick Garman and Alan Duguid both had long but enjoyable days with plenty of excellent music making on show.
