After a hectic Autumn of concerts, sponsored events and fundraising, the Smithills School Senior Band is making huge financial leaps in raising the daunting figure of £70,000 for their fifth tour to the USA.
Over halfway
At present the Smithills plane is over halfway across the Atlantic with £36,500 already raised for the July trip.

MD Chris Wormald told 4BR: "The exceptional standard of playing and commitment of the players to every rehearsal, concert and fundraising event since September is reflected in the amazing amount of money which has so far been raised.
