The University of Salford Graduation Band will be performing at the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in Skegness on the weekend.
Condensed version
The ensemble is a condensed version of the University Brass Band that entertains over 24,000 people at the Lowry in Salford Quays each July during graduation ceremonies.
The 14 piece band will featured many works written for them by students and staff of the University, with the group boasting players from bands such as Black Dyke, Grimethorpe, Leyland and DWT Pemberton.
Brett Baker
The band will be led by Brett Baker, who told 4BR: "We have been working hard on brand new material especially written by in-house composers Richard Rock and Simon Oliver for our show this weekend.
The Graduation Band is a knock out group of musicians, who pride themselves on demonstrating a unique show of the highest level."
