Beware a dodgy BBb tuba offer

If you given the wink about a tuba deal too good to be true then make sure it isn't a little bit dodgy...

If you or your band is offered a BBb tuba deal too good to be true over the next few weeks then make sure you check that it hasn’t been nicked.

Besson Sovereign tuba

A Besson Sovereign BBb tuba, model 994, with the serial number 88955 has recently been stolen from a restricted practice room at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and could well be offered for a quick ‘no questions asked’ sale.

However, before you think of parting with any money in a dodgy ‘cash conversion’ shop or in the back room of a pub, it has been reported stolen and the matter is in the hands of Manchester Metropolitan Police.

Boys in blue

So if you know where it is, or who has it in their possession, then give our friends in blue a call quoting crime number 007/747/M/14 or get in touch with John Miller at the RNCM. Any information can be sent to john.miller@rncm.ac.uk> or by telephoning 0161 907 5364.

Any information about the instrument will be gratefully received, because the equipment is very valuable to the many students who benefit from College equipmentJohn Miller
