Unite the Union (City of Sheffield) Band has announced the appointment of Damian Wileman as Associate Guest Conductor to work alongside their recently appointed MD, David Hirst.

Multi faceted

A multi faceted musician, Damien has sung alongside the internationally renowned Hayley Westenra and been guest soloist at Birmingham Symphony Hall and the pre-Gospel Arts Concert in London, as well as being a tuba player with the ISB for six years.

More recently he has been freelancing as a player and conductor with a number of bands and is currently the Musical Director of Cornerstone Brass.

Working with David they will make a brilliant team and it is yet a further piece to the jigsaw in the future plans for the bandBand spokepserson
