Smithills help keep pushing the boat out

Smithills School Senior Band help the local branch of the Bolton RNLI with their fund raising efforts.

Smithills School Senior Band under MD Chris Wormald recently helped support the Bolton RNLI charity with the latest concert in a fund raising partnership that now stretches back 24 years.

Over £300,000

The various Smithills bands have supported both Bolton Hospice and the RNLI is helping to raise over £300,000 for the two local causes.

At the latest event the 46 strong band featured 15 year old principal trombone player Ross Tremayne and 17 year old principal euphonium Jacob Smith as soloists.
