Yorkshire Imperial David Urquhart Travel Band has announced the signing of two highly regarded bass players.

Experience returns

Returning home on Eb Bass is Mark Tweedle, who originally spent 11 years of his playing career on first horn with the band in the late 1970s. After a dedicated spell at Drighlington on both euphonium and Eb bass, Mark now returns in time for their end of season challenge at the Scottish Open in Perth.

Joining Mark will be the experienced Mark Wilkinson, whose 30 year playing career includes a highly successful spell at Skelmanthorpe Band for the past seven years.

Mark is also looking forward to an exciting contesting future with Imps: "It’s fantastic to be with a band with so much potential and that is so determined to move forward.

I’m fully committed to playing an active role within the Imps team."
