Brass Bands England have conformed that the 2014 National Youth Championships will take place on Sunday 13th April at the University of Salford.

The change of venue comes about as the Royal Northern College of Music is unavailable due to renovation work.

BBE's spokesperson, Arnold Tattersfield has advised 4BR that the entry form packs have now gone out to the bands.

2014 tests

With the format of the Championships remaining unchanged, it has also been announced that the event’s Music Panel has met during the past few days and made the following choices for the Championship and Intermediate Sections.

Other sections also remain in the same format as last year.
