The Annual General Meeting of bands in the North West region was held at the end of September.

Peter Bates was nominated and accepted the post of Regional Secretary for the next twelve months as well as the role of Regional Treasurer for a further two years, although it is hoped that additional help with this role will be forthcoming in the future.

It was also announced that the 2014 North West Regional Contest will be held under the rules of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 2012.

All bands wishing to compete must have all players registered with the Brass Band Players Registry.

We now look forward to the Regional Championships on Sunday 9th March at the Blackpool Winter Gardens and entry forms will be sent out to all bands in the grading tables in the next few weeks."
