The Wingates Band has announced the signings of a number of players to take them through the second half of their 140th year anniversary plans.
New players
Returning for a second stint is soprano player Clint Miller after six months with Flixton, whilst Emma Hocknall joins on solo horn from Fairey.
Kate Turner comes in on first horn from Hoover Bolton along with boyfriend Michael Jackson on second euphonium from Tydlesley.
New principal
Chris Robertson becomes the band’s new principal euphonium and Adam Taylor joins on solo trombone after completing his studies in London.
He will also provide the band a number of new works to be premiered alongside Lucy Pankhurst's ‘The Owfen Raconteurs’ and ‘Legacy’, featuring Dave Thornton, Lewis Musson and Gary Curtain.
