The Leicestershire Brass Band Association has announced an entry of 71 bands for their LBBA Open contest, to be held in Charnwood College, Loughborough, Leicestershire on 24th November.
Growing
Association Chairman Steve Plant told 4BR: "The LBBA are delighted at the high level of entries this year.
The contest just keeps growing, with bands travelling up and down the country to join us, and for the first time we welcome guests from across the north sea in Tertnes Brass from Norway under MD Bengt Florvag.
We are very proud that our November contest is now firmly established in the brass band calendar and very much look forward to welcoming all bands and their supporters to Loughborough in November."
Help and assistance
The association has also asked for help from supporters or enthusiasts that may be interested in helping to look after the bands at the contest.
Steve added: "Any help with stewarding at the contest would be greatly appreciated by the association and participating bands alike."
