Gregson to recall his Distant Memories

Professor Edward Gregson will be giving a talk about his National Finals test piece on the eve of the big event.

There will be a chance for listeners to get to hear a lot more about the National Final test piece, ‘Of Distant Memories (Music in an Olden Style)’ from Professor Edward Gregson before the competing bands take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday.

The composer has agreed to give a talk about his piece at the Regent Hall Brass Arts Festival at 5.00pm on Friday 11th October.

The talk will be illustrated with musical excerpts and copies of the study score will be available for purchase prior to the event.
