Philip Harper in action

Gloucestershire Music Service has announced that they have teamed up with Cory MD, Philip Harper to help local conductors improve their conducting skills.

Sessions

Philip will be leading three sessions for conductors of local groups, bands and ensembles, to help them hone their existing skills and knowledge.

He’ll lead a short session focusing on specific areas of conducting, before demonstrating the skills in practice leading the Gloucestershire Symphonic Wind Orchestra.

Where and when

The three dates for the seminars are Monday 14th October, Monday 25th November and Monday 27th January (provisional), from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at the Colwell Arts Centre, Derby Rd, Gloucester, GL1 4AD.

All that and it only costs £15 for all three sessions plus feedback!

The fee will cover all three sessions to enable delegates to get maximum benefit of just £5.00 a session!

The three dates for the seminars are Monday 14th October, Monday 25th November and Monday 27th January4BR

Feedback

Course organizer Steven Legge told 4BR: "The idea is that in between sessions, delegates will be able to take the tips and ideas back into their work with their own groups and bands, and come to the next session having tested the techniques and perhaps armed with questions.

We’re also offering participants the opportunity to video themselves and send to Philip for feedback."
