Andover based healthcare provider Simplyhealth have given a boost to Test Valley Brass Youth Band, with a grant of £1,100 which was increased by a further £417 raised by supporter Dorothy Page.
The money will be used to purchase a new set of stands and four cornets to benefit the whole organisation.
Generous
Band Chairman Peter Heslop, told 4BR: "We are extremely grateful to Simplyhealth for this very generous grant.
We have no external funding or sponsorship and all our income is generated by member subscriptions, performing at concerts and local events along with grants like this, without which we just wouldn’t be able to survive."
Worthy causes
He added: "Simplyhealth help many worthy causes in and around Andover and we feel privileged that they have chosen to help us. We really are very grateful."
The instruments and stands were presented on Thursday 26th September by the Mayor of Test Valley alongside Liz McGregor from Simplyhealth.
