The Camborne Band has announced a trio of new signings.
Solo horn
Joanna Scott joins as the new solo horn and comes to the band with experience of playing with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, Mount Charles and St Austell
Camborne MD Kevin Mackenzie told 4BR: "I’m delighted to be able to team up with Jo again. She is a very fine player and her signing is a real coup."
Jo added: "I’m relishing the opportunity to perform with so many talented players. The future looks very exciting."
Solo cornet
Meanwhile, Adam Scott joins on solo cornet from St Austell. The current principal cornet with the Cornwall Youth Brass Band, Adam brings further experience to an already strong cornet line.
The MD added: "We have been following Adam’s progress for a while and we are delighted he has accepted an invitation to join us."
Adam added: "When I knew the position was available I jumped at the chance to take a seat with a great band. I’m now looking forward to a long and successful time with them."

Percussion
The trio is completed by percussionist Justin Strike from Helston Town. Regarded as a rising star in Cornish banding he is currently a member of Cornwall Youth Brass Band and Helston School Jazz Orchestra.
The MD added: "Justin is a welcome addition to our already talented percussion section. We have been monitoring his progress and the time seemed right to extend him an invitation to join us."
Thrilled
Band Chairman Nick Sanders told 4BR: "I can't sum up in words how pleased I am to welcome the new players. I’m thrilled that our band is in this great position of attracting players of this calibre."
