The forthcoming Bolsover Festival of Brass has announced the draw for the contest which will take place on Sunday 6th October at the Heritage High School in Clowne.
Record high
The event has surpassed its previous record high of entrants, with a total of 49 bands taking part over the weekend.
The Bolsover Festival will commence at 9.30am in the Main Hall with the First Section which this year features 14 bands, with the Fourth Section starting at 10.00am in the adjoining gymnasium.

Tickets for the event are available on the door at £5 and £4 concessions and there are excellent restaurant facilities and a bar open from 11.00am until the close of the contest, which should end around 9.30pm.

Charity entertainment
Preparations for the Bolsover Festival of Brass Charity Entertainment Contest is also in full swing, with the late addition of another contender in the Thoresby Re-union Band.
MD and organiser Stan Lippeatt told 4BR: "A re-union for the ex- players of Thoresby Colliery Band is long overdue. The players are really looking forward to the event and supporting these great charities."
Date and time
The event itself takes place on Saturday 5th October at Shirebrook Leisure Centre, Park Road, Shirebrook, Mansfield, Notts and will commence at 7.00pm.
Tickets available on the door as well as from Shirebrook Leisure Centre and Bolsover District Council’s Main Offices at the Arc, High Street, Clowne £5 and £4 concessions.
Line up
The line-up features Sir Richard Arkwright’s Masson Mills Band, Jones and Crossland/Hyundai-Heart of England Building Society Band, Thoresby Re-union Band and William Davis Construction Re-union Band.
